Our Preschool
Daisy Pre-School is bright and spacious with an amazing outdoor space consisting of the Adventure Garden where the children can use the scooters down the zigzag decking, and explore the Builders Yard, the Secret Garden which is undercover and designed for small group sensory play and the third Nature Garden where the children can plant, grow, dig and explore.

Our Sessions
- Daisy Preschool is open Term Time only, offering places to children from 2 to 4 years old.
- We are open Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm.
- Half Day Morning sessions are 9am - 12pm.
- Full days are 9am - 3pm.
- Bookings must be over a minimum of two days.
- Brunch – Between 9.15am and 10.15am we provide a simple brunch such as cereals, overnight oats, yogurt, fruit, toast, crumpets, muffins etc.
- Lunch – Between 11.45am and 12.45pm – please bring a packed lunch.

EYPP – Early Years Pupil Premium
EYPP is additional funding paid to providers to enhance the quality of your child’s early years’ experience by improving the teaching and learning, and facilities and resources, with the aim of impacting positively on your child’s progress and development. Funded children may be eligible if parents have an income under £16,190 and are in receipt of certain benefits.
You do not need to apply for this, Devon County Council will use the information you give us on the funding declaration/registration form to check your child’s eligibility. We will let you know if your child is eligible.
The department for Education’s operation guidance states:
“Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver up to 15 or 30 hours a week of funded high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services -The provider can charge for meals and snacks as part of a funded entitlement place, and they can also charge for consumables such as baby wipes or suncream”

Help with Childcare costs

- Tax-Free Childcare – if you are earning more than £183 per week and not in receipt of tax credits or universal credit, for every £8 you pay, the government pay £2 (up to £2000 per year)
- Universal Credit – may pay up to 85% of childcare costs.

Apply for a place
We invite you to complete our pre-registration form which does not commit either yourselves as parents or ourselves. It will enable us to put your child’s name on our waiting list for a future admission. We will use the information you provide to enable us to contact you within 2 months of the proposed start date to offer your child a place or to inform of the lack of a vacancy.

We are located in the grounds of St Johns Primary School, there is a car park but that is for the school staff only. You will find a path with painted daisies that follows the footpath around the car park around and down the path to our big yellow building at the bottom. There is some parking on the road but please be aware of the residential parking.
